Designed in 1926 by J F Abercromby, one of the finest British golf course designers of the last century, Bovey Castle’s 18 hole championship golf course in Devon is both challenging and beautiful. Opened in 1930, the course quickly gained national acclaim for its reputation as one of the most enjoyable places to play golf and nearly 90 years later, guests still love to play golf at Bovey. Designed to rival its sister courses at Gleneagles and Turnberry, the course has been described as an experience of golf never to be forgotten. The course meanders through the hotel estate, surrounded by idyllic landscape and offers challenges to meet any handicap.

Bovey Castle offers a warm welcome to visitors throughout the year.
We do recommend booking a tee in advance and request that all visitors have an official CONGU handicap – maximum 36 for men and 54 for ladies.
Course Dress Code
Soft spike golf shoes must be worn.
Shorts are permitted and can be worn with sports socks.
Denim jeans, track suits and training/gym shoes are not allowed.
Please note that dogs are not permitted on the golf course.
