Situated on the edge of Dartmoor National Park in the beautiful Teign valley, is Finlake Riding Centre, our recommendation for Horse Riding adventures. With scenic off-road hacking in private parkland and woodland trails, we believe this is a riding adventure that can’t be missed on your holiday to Devon! All the bridle tracks have been ‘all weather’ surfaced so that even in inclement weather under foot remains safe no matter your age or ability. Beginners can trek along woodland trails on well behaved cobs or for the more experienced, why not enjoy a longer and more exhilarating ride? Young children or nervous adults may prefer to stroll along for half an hour with experienced staff leading if required. Very small children can ride the tiny miniature Shetland ponies or the small Dartmoor pony!

Prices and Rates

Finlake Riding School

10 minute children’s rides (ages 2-4 years) – £11.00 per child
½ hour pony rides (aged 4 years+ and someone from the same household to lead the pony walking) – £26.00 per person
1 hour ride (aged 9 years+ and able to control the pony at a gentle pace) – £36.00 per person any ability
Very advanced riders, 3 hours forestry rides – £91.00 per person
