Why did you choose Bovey Castle for your wedding?
The main reason was the hotel offered a complete package of the ceremony and the wedding breakfast at the same venue and most importantly offered small numbers as we only required 40 guests, whereas other venues stipulated a minimum number usually in excess of 80 people.
Plus, the hotel’s policy of only one wedding per day regardless of its size was an appeal.
We knew Bovey had excellent customer service, but this was displayed throughout all our interactions for both of us and all our guests.

What made you choose the time of year? Did it relate to anything special?
No this was really decided by the Registry Office dates

What was your favourite part of the day?
The beginning part of the ceremony as we walked in and saw everyone and Alan remarked seeing me at that first point also.

Quality of staff interactions as they appeared to be very aware of us and why we were there. We felt staff were exceptional were seamlessly in control in the background.

Anything else you would like to add?

Having worked in customer service as an educator it takes a lot for me to say the service was outstanding; all points were thought of in advance, we didn’t need to worry about any part of our 3 day stay with our families, as the team had everything covered in advance of us thinking about it.

Maybe highlight this as your USP as it was indeed a huge weight lifted when we realised from start to finish, we were so well looked after.

The Bovey Castle truly made our day plus our guests have consistently remarked the whole experience was outstanding, not just our wedding!
