A Little Time to Get Creative This Christmas

December has a habit of filling up before it has even begun. Between shopping, plans and preparations, those quieter moments that make Christmas feel special can easily disappear.

So, before the festivities gather pace, spend a couple of hours doing something a little different at Bovey Castle.

Set within our estate in Dartmoor National Park, our Festive Wreath Making Workshop gives you time to slow down, get creative and make your own Christmas wreath to take home.

You’ll be guided through the traditional wreath-making process, choosing from seasonal foliage, textures and decorative details to create a design that feels entirely your own. No previous experience is needed, with our team on hand to guide you along the way.

With hot chocolate and mince pies included, it makes a lovely festive outing with friends or family, or simply an excuse to enjoy a little Christmas creativity for yourself.

Your Experience Includes

• Guided festive wreath making workshop
• All wreath-making materials
• Your own handmade wreath to take home
• Hot chocolate
• Mince pies
• Morning or afternoon session, subject to selected date

New For 2026

Wreath making in our new Castle Workshop

This year, our festive wreath making workshops have a new home.

The Castle Workshop is located in the Mews, just across from Bovey Castle's main entrance, giving you a dedicated indoor space in which to get creative.

Fully heated and sheltered from the Dartmoor weather, it means you can enjoy the atmosphere of a traditional Christmas workshop while staying warm and dry throughout your session.

The Castle Workshop also has its own bathroom facilities for your convenience.

Please note: access to the Castle Workshop includes three steps at the entrance.
