Fashioned from local granite and vaulted with English oak, each of our lodges echoes the enduring character of Devon’s ancient moorlands.

Shaded by woodland, bordered by lakes and with views across our manicured lawns, the lodge can become your own private sanctuary.

The lodges are open from 12th April, along with outdoor activities including our 18-hole championship golf course or book yourself a relaxing spa treatment at the Elan Spa.

Discover self-catering in style with our luxury lodge dining

Luxuriously furnished, Bovey Castle lodges are a wonderful way to spend a holiday with friends, family or partners. Each property has three ensuite bedrooms, sleeping up to eight people in total (maximum six adults and two children).

With an open plan lounge and dining area that leads out onto a balcony with beautiful views, there’s plenty of space to relax and unwind together. You’ll also have your own private fully-equipped kitchen including a fridge, freezer, oven, dishwasher and a microwave.

But if you’re looking for a truly relaxing escape, why not let us take care of the cooking with our luxury lodge dining? Enjoy cooked or continental breakfasts and family style dining in the comfort of your own lodge with delicious home-style meals delivered straight to your front door, including our wonderful themed menus such as ‘The Big Night In‘.

In the summer months we can also organise a barbeque pack full of local offerings ready to start sizzling on your private balcony BBQ.

Explore beautiful Dartmoor and Devon

If you would like to venture out there’s plenty of scenic spots to explore and activities to enjoy in the area.

As Bovey Castle is located on Dartmoor National Park, we have 275 acres of countryside on our doorstep ready to explore. If that’s not enough, we can also suggest plenty of scenic strolls around the local villages and beyond.

For a less energetic way to discover the rugged countryside, why not book a trip on the South Devon Railway? Built in 1872, the railway is a seven mile former Great Western Railway brand line which runs along the sunning valley of the River Dart between Buckfastleigh and Totnes.

If you’re a family of animal lovers, you won’t want to miss out on a guided llama walk across the heather moorland or the chance to meet the cute and cuddly miniature ponies at The Miniature Pony Centre. Plus, there’s also Dartmoor Zoo, where Chincha the Jaguar and Kelloggs the Corn Snake are waiting to say hello.
