One of two stunning National Parks in Devon, Dartmoor has something for all.
Inside it’s 368 square mile radius is contained sweeping wild hills, deep forested valleys, old farm steads and the narrow winding lanes that connect them as well as fast flowing clean rivers that start from the springs on the highest ground in the Westcountry.
Thousands of ancient archaeological sites, dozens of stone rows and burial sites of the early settlers, picturesque historical villages, fascinating places of worship and ruins from civilizations long since passed. A walker’s and tourer’s paradise and one of the last wilderness areas of England, the park has interest and appeal in all seasons, all weathers, and has inspired writers, artists and musicians for generations. The South Devon Coast is of a world class standard. Incredible beaches, dramatic cliffs and picturesque coves that will leave you questioning if you are still in the UK.
