Your pet pooches will be allowed to enjoy a day out with you on the northern end of Meadfoot Beach, however they are not permitted on the south western section.
Located on the mouth of the River Teign estuary, Teignmouth Town Beach is a traditional seaside resort. Its sheltered position means it’s a beach popular with kayakers, paddleboarders and other water-sports activities, as well as providing a safe space for a leisurely swim.
The grand Victorian pier, built over 150 years ago, offers an amusement arcade packed full of games to keep all the family entertained should the weather take a turn for the worst. Also, keep an eye out for dolphins, which have often been spotted just offshore!

Dogs are allowed on Teignmouth Town Beach outside of summer season, but between 1 May – 30 September they are not permitted.
