DARTMOOR TOURS AND GUIDED WALKS

Have your own guided tour of  the stunning and lesser visited spots of Dartmoor with one of Bovey Castle's activities co-ordinators, on foot or in one our Land Rovers. Learn about the history, geography and development of the moor and see some of its many prehistoric landmarks.

War Horse Moor Walk
Filmed on location on Dartmoor, War Horse has been transformed from a popular children's book into an epic film adaptation by Stephen Spielberg. The War Horse Moor Walk explores the moorland setting of the film's breathtaking backdrop and will take walkers to a selection of locations that feature in the film. The War Horse Moor Walk also includes the option to add horse riding with a local stables that will provide horses to ride up to a location that was used in the film.

Price
£20 per person for a 90-minute guided walk departing from Bovey Castle, or £25 for walks that require Land Rover transfer to departure point.
£40 per person for a half-day War Horse Moor Walk to a selection of locations in the film
£77 an hour per vehicle if required (maximum six guests per vehicle)
