The dining experiences at Bovey Castle have been designed to complement the hotel's reputation for country house elegance and outdoor activities. Whether you plan to participate in one or two of the hotel's impressive guest activities or retreat to the tranquility of the Adam Room's plush armchairs, the style and selection found in each of the hotel's restaurants and dining areas cater for all tastes.
Lavish picnics can be ordered to accompany guests on daily activities, with the Castle Bistro also offering light lunches, golf snacks and family-friendly meals throughout the day. The atmosphere here is bright and relaxed, with contemporary décor and spectacular views from the restaurant's terrace.
Afternoon tea can be served in any of the hotel's public areas, but the Cathedral Room and Adam Room are popular locations for this quintessentially English treat. On sunny days, the South Terrace is the most desirable spot in the hotel for afternoon tea, as tea is served with panoramic views of the entire estate.
The Edwardian Grill serves Bovey Castle's signature Beef Menu, a nose-to-tail collection of dishes that highlight the finest cuts of beef that Dartmoor has to offer, served alongside other parts of the animal that are often overlooked. The meat for the Beef Menu is sourced through the Dartmoor Farmers Association, a farmers’ initiative inspired by HRH The Prince of Wales. The beef never leaves Dartmoor, where it is born, reared and slaughtered to order for Bovey Castle.
