Kids stay for free during February half-term at Bovey Castle, where every day is a different adventure. Spend the school holidays on Dartmoor exploring the setting of Steven Spielberg’s War Horse, filmed nearby at various locations across the Devon moorland. Bovey Castle can arrange horse riding with a local stables for younger guests during half-term, so why not discover this exhilarating activity with your very own Joey! The Bovey Rangers schedule also includes the chance to test your survival skills in the Bovey Castle woods, letterboxing, apple pressing and archery.

There are also lots of activities to do together as a family which can be organised with the Bovey Castle resort team before arrival – from quad biking to falconry, rock climbing to hot air ballooning. The Playroom is also open for our youngest guests, offering various supervised fun sessions and games. Devon and Cornwall offer miles of endless beaches and coastal paths, picturesque fishing villages to visit for the day and popular tourist attractions such as Pennywell Farm and the Eden Project.
